Hello!

This episode we take a look in to the divinity of God, and discuss how our image of God shifted dramatically from Old Testament to New Testament. We contrast the image of God the Father with those we love on earth, and discover just what it means to be loved unconditionally, and how much joy and pain we can bring to God with our words and actions.

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became His prized possession.

Today I took a quick look at purgatory, and the idea behind it. We delve in to why purgatory is necessary, and how to defend the idea of Purgatory in faith using simple metaphor.

Below is the verse I feel most accurately descirbes the reason and function of purgatory in the Bible. Take a look for yourself. The Verse is 1 Cor 3:11-15:

11 For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

The prayers from this weeks lesson are here:
Angel of God, my guardian dear,
To whom God’s love commits me here
Ever this day (night) be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
